My name is Deeksha. I am 16 years old and a Grade 11 student at Sishya, Adyar, Chennai.
This campaign of mine aims to literally save the lives of children who come from low-income homes and are suffering from CHD (Congenital Heart Disease). The families cannot afford the surgery for their children as it's too expensive for them. I was astonished when I found out that that heart surgeries which typically cost between INR 2.5 to 5L at most hospitals are done at a considerably lower cost by the NGO - Hearts for Hearts (Chennai based).
Net of govt subsidies and other funders, they need just INR 40,000 to perform heart surgery on a child with CHD. That is all it takes to save a life and bring cheer to both the child and the family, almost like a blessing! The cost also includes the cost of their stay before and after the surgery in an NGO itself.
I kindly request you join and support us in this endeavor so that together, we can make a difference and save the lives of all these children as well as their dreams. It helps that this campaign also has 80G tax benefits. The more you fund the more lives we can save together, but any amount raised is money raised to save lives!
