My name is Tipu Srinath. I am 15 and a Grade 11 student at Sishya, Adyar, Chennai.
My campaign strives to save the lives of children who come from low-income homes and are suffering from CHD (Congenital Heart Disease). The families cannot afford life-saving surgeries for their children because their meagre incomes cannot even come close to the massive cost. But then, I was intrigued to learn that heart surgeries which usually cost between INR 2.5 to 5L at almost all hospitals are done at a much much lower cost by the NGO - Hearts for Hearts (Chennai based).
Government subsidies and other funders bring the need down to just INR 40000 to perform heart surgery on a child with CHD. 40000 is all it takes to save a life and bring cheer to both the child and the family. The cost also includes the cost of their stay before and after the surgery.
I request you join the cause and support me in this endeavour so that we can make a difference and save the lives of these children. It helps that this campaign also has 80G tax benefits. The more you fund the more lives we can save, Let's do this.
