I'm Prithviraj Omkar Patil or Prithvi for short. Currently I'm enrolled in JPIS. As a grade 12 student doing the IBDP, one of the values I have given importance to is the act of giving.

Taking part in Akshaya Patra programme has a personal backstory to it. I used to be a kid who took food for granted as a child. I would eat as much as I liked. After moving to hostel, I truly realised how much I had taken for granted. The food I was getting was so bad that I would skip meals. In doing so it affected my health negatively. I fainted due to lack of proper diet and other health issues persisted.

If I was having many problems just by skipping meals, I could not imagine what starving children would have to go through. Their situation had to be worse. By this time I knew how important food was . I needed to make an impact to the thousands of children that have to face hunger in India. The pain I went through should not be experienced by some innocent children. Now I plan to start a campaign to help these kids.
