My name is Naira Rahul Bamb. I am 12.5-years-old and a Grade 7 student at The Kanakia International School at Chembur,Mumbai.
I am running this crowdfunding campaign to transform a Municipal school in Shastri Nagar located in the Dharavi slum at Sion, Mumbai and turn it into a "HAPPY SCHOOL".
I was very surprised and shocked to see the images of the school building, classrooms, common areas and wondered how children are able to study in such an environment. Making the school and classrooms bright, cheerful, safe and providing them with hygienic washrooms etc is a very basic requirement.
Through this campaign, me and my other friends aim to transform this school so that 280 plus children who come here, learn in a better environment and look forward to coming to the school. This will help the students reach their potential and leverage their education to build a career and life for themselves.
