My name is Svia. I am 13-years-old and in Grade 8 student at The KC High International School, Chennai.
I have undertaken this campaign because I was surprised when I learnt that a number of students in India that go to school, do not have basic requirements, such as footwear, school bags and they are made to sit on hard ground while at school.
The students have to sit on the ground for about 8 hours at school, which will not not only lead to posture-related problems but also joint issues, back pain and uncomfortability while studying. Walking barefoot everyday leads to foot-related diseases and health issues.
The right solution for these issues are the back-to-school kits that cost only ₹900 for each kit. One such kit will give the student a recycled study mat which they can use to sit comfortably at home or school, a recycled school bag for their books/supplies and a pair of recycled footwear. This one kit costs a small amount that can solve many problems that one student faces. So fund ₹4500 (for example), to help the lives of 5 students!
