My name is HARSHINI RAINA. I am 16 years old and in Grade 12 at Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok.
I have undertaken this campaign because I think it is incredible to impact the life of a child who is not as fortunate as I am. Many families have lost their source of income during the pandemic and are unable to send their children to school. These children have not been attending classes for the last year. Many of them have forgotten the basics and are unable to cope with studies since schools have reopened .
Yatan Education Centre provides after-school remedial programs to make up for the education these students have missed in the past year. The NGO also provides a meal, education, books, etc for free makes it impossible for parents NOT to send children to study. This will help bring them back to school and get them back on track. This will also help bring their families out of the vicious circle of poverty that plagued them for generations. The cost of providing after-school programs to a child for a year is just INR 9300 and will completely transform their lives.
