My name is Trishala S. I am 19 years old and a student at FLAME University, Pune.
In our country, not everyone is privileged to get a decent education. Students coming from marginalized communities are unable to put food on the table, education and attending college is hence considered a luxury for them. Most of their parents are daily wage earners, meaning they live by the day. We take most things for granted whereas these children don't have access to basic amenities.
Time and again, people have risen, tackled all odds, and taken the initiative to educate children who cannot afford to go to school. These students cannot afford to go to college for their further studies and hence need scholarships. Some of them also need career guidance and motivation. It's astonishing how much INR 15000 can affect an underprivileged student that deserves so much more.
