My name is Yashasvi Peddinty. I am 14 years old and in Grade 9th of Ram Ratna International School, Mumbai. I am also the president of Interact club of RRIS.

It is shocking to know that many students in India do not have access to toilet facilities in school. I cannot imagine the plight faced by these students.

I have undertaken this campaign because I believe that it is very important for all students to have access to proper toilets. My classmates and I aim to help build toilets in the Gramin Vikas Mire Adivasi School, a school for the adivasi and the underprivileged children. Currently, the students are forced to defecate in the open because a huge tree fell on the one they had.

I believe this is an important cause as open defecation is detrimental to the household, society and the planet as a whole. The fact that raising INR 6.7 Lakhs will be a game-changer makes me elated. Getting a toilet will definitely transform the lives of the students of this school. The overall aim is to build 6 toilets for the school (in a single building which costs INR 6.7L to construct), 3 cubicles for boys and 3 for girls. With your help, a student can go to school, he can be educated and make our world a better place.
