Shubham ,an 8 year old boy , couldn't attend school for the academic year of 2020-2021 as his parents couldn't afford a smart phone or any other device, through which he could connect to his class . His father, a factory laborer ,lost his job due to the pandemic. His mother had to become a house maid to buy a smart phone for her son's education . Shubham’s  sister who is 5 didn't even start schooling due to the same reason.
During this pandemic, we have realized how flawed our education system is. Just because people don't have enough money, it doesn't mean that their kids shouldn't get a good education. Just because a pandemic occurred and it isn't safe to be in classrooms doesn't mean that their education gets put on pause. So while we are sitting in our safe homes and living a life full of luxuries, we need to help them. These students don't have access to a smartphone, laptop, or internet. Which means that they cannot attend any of the online classes. There is a dire need for these devices. It's astonishing how much INR 10000 can affect an underprivileged student.
