My name is Tanay Kocharekar. I am 14 years old and I'm in Grade 10 at the EuroSchool, Airoli. I am very passionate about helping others especially those who are less privileged than I am. Personally, for me, I'm more interested in listening to other people and their problems and then solve mine own
For girls and women from financially weak backgrounds, access to sanitary napkins is a luxury. They often resort to unhygienic alternatives which can be very hazardous to health. Sanitary napkins are a basic necessity for every woman. The cost of these napkins is just affordable for those living in cities not by those who live in villages and still respect the old norms
Through this campaign, I intend to give them a menstrual hygiene kit that is cost-effective, lasts long, and is not too bulky. The Hygiene kit consist of 2 regular shields, 6 regular liners, 1 large shield, 2 large liners, 1 Instruction manual, 1 ziplock bag and 1 drawstring bag to hold everything together. These are stitched by women from low-income homes thus serving as a source of livelihood for them.
