The COVID crisis has been a huge learning experience for all of us. This time has enabled many of us to take a pause and reflect on what is truly important in our lives.
We have now understood that we need to source inspiration and true happiness to lead lives with ‘higher Purpose’ and develop greater resilience, adaptability and the capacity to learn.
The only way we can do this is by realizing that the our source of happiness and well being resides within each one of us.
Chinmaya Mission, founded by Swami Chinmayananda ji, one of India’s greatest spiritual Masters, serves the Motto- ‘Maximum Happiness to the maximum people for the maximum time’.
It organizes discourses, holds weekly classes for children and youth, serves community development projects, runs schools and colleges and serves the well- being of all through 300 centers located all over the world.
The Delhi Chinmaya Sewa Trust- DCST, is the unit of Chinmaya Mission that serves the well being of people in the NCR and North India. It runs a school in Vasant Vihar in Delhi, has the Center of World Understanding in
Lodhi Road in Delhi and has centers in Noida, Chittaranjan Park in Delhi , Gurgaon and a school in Unchahar in UP and a degree college in Haridwar.
Besides holding regular classes for different age groups on our spiritual wisdom, it hosts annual festivals for all schools and educational institutions for ‘Geeta chanting competition’ and ‘creation of national wealth based on
values’ in which students sing, dance, share skits and poetry all inspired by our wisdom traditions.
Millions of Indians have benefited from the self- less service of the Mission.
DCST is raising resources to renovate its centers in Lodi Road and NOIDA, the college in Haridwar and build a new center in Gurgaon.
