My name is Nikhilesh Nallavelli. I am 13 years old and a Grade 9 student at Chirec International School in Hyderabad.

COVID-19 has impacted millions of people. The worst-hit are the poor, migrants, and daily wage workers. Hyderabad being a dense city, the virus ravages, and we are seeing its impact all around us. Sadly, the situation will only get worse before it gets better. At this point, the bigger concern and the biggest need is for food. Specifically to those who have lost their livelihoods, and are now struggling to even afford enough food to survive. Feeding them, is the number one -COVID relief measure.

At this juncture, it is our responsibility as the privileged sections of the society, to step up & support them through this difficult time. The initiative I am doing is with Akshaya Patra. An organization that prepares fresh meals, and helps feed thousands of people everyday. Akshaya Patra has already served and distributed over 5 CRORE meals across India and over 60 lakh meals/food packs in Hyderabad/ Telangana. However, that is still not enough to feed all the unprivileged. There are still tens of thousands of people, unable to afford simple meals.

It should be our duty to support these people through the tough times at present. I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can do our small part, towards their well-being. Let's come together and help our fellow countrymen!
