My name is Vedika Agarwal. I am 17 years old and a Grade 12 student at the Chirec International School in Hyderabad.
COVID-19 has impacted millions of people. The worst-hit are the poor, migrants, and daily wage workers. Hyderabad & Telangana have not been spared and we are seeing its impact all around us. There has been a surge in cases & the situation will only get worse before it gets better. The biggest concern and the biggest need is for food. Feeding them is the number one -COVID relief measure and priority.
At this juncture, it is our responsibility as the privileged sections of the society to step up & support them through this difficult time. The initiative I am doing with Akshaya Patra is to help feed thousands of people. Akshaya Patra has already served and distributed over 5 CRORE meals across India and over 60 lakh meals/food packs in Hyderabad/ Telangana. The need and demand for more meals continue.
I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can also contribute to their well-being in our own small way. Let's come together and do our bit to help our fellow Indians.
