About:
My name is Sanjay Chunduru. I am 16 years old and a Grade 11 student, studying at CHIREC International School.
The Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown has negatively affected all of us. However, our troubles are absolutely nothing when compared to the immense hardships that minimum wage workers and others living below the poverty line face. Not only are they at risk of catching the virus, but they also suffer from temporary unemployment, resulting in them not earning money. Since they depend so heavily on daily wages to support their expenditure, they can't purchase food to feed their families and they also can't buy the basic necessities which all of us take for granted.
We are the lucky and privileged few who fortunately do not suffer from these problems and therefore we must do our part and contribute to our society and help those who are suffering. We must support our community which has supported us for so long. Therefore, I have stepped up to do my part in helping my community and society. Please support my campaign, but only if you believe in it. Every little bit helps. Even a single rupee will go a long way to support this cause. This campaign aims to provide meals and bottled water to them across Hyderabad and is done by Akshaya Patra( through their kitchens) in close coordination with the local administration. As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?”. I have to answer this question. You have to answer this question. We have to answer this question.
So let us all unite together and help those who are less privileged than us, those who have fewer opportunities than us, and those who would do the same if they were in the same position as us.
