My name is Khushal. I am 17 years old and a Grade 12 student at CHIREC.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us in different ways. Some of those who had secure jobs lost part or most of their earnings due to layoffs and furloughs. Those who were daily wage earners, saw their earning potential go to almost zero because of lockdowns and very limited economic activity, if any. A number of these people including migrant laborers will be pushed into financial distress due to loss of income and potential to earn. For such people, even after the lockdown, their plight will continue to be same due to job scarcity.
As the privileged ones, it is our duty to must step up to help them through these difficult times. While we may not be able to provide everything, I believe it is our responsibility to provide them with basic amenities like food and water I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can also ease their hardship in our own small way. This campaign aims to provide meals and bottled water to them across Hyderabad and is done by Akshaya Patra( through their kitchens) in close coordination with the local administration. Let's come together and do our bit to help our fellow countrymen.
