My name is Ahana and I am a Grade 11th student at DPS, Gurgaon.

Imagine traveling to school, studying for long hours together, playing in the sun, all on an empty stomach. Sometimes we might skip out on our meals or maybe bicker with our parents on how we want something else, but not once do we think about not getting food. Many do not realize the immense luxury of getting 3 square meals everyday that a majority of children in our country cannot afford.

The happiness they experience by just receiving one meal in a day is unmeasurable. These children toil throughout the day in school and even work with their parents at home and this campaign provides them with the joy of enjoying a home cooked meal made with love that helps them stay fit.

Please support my campaign and let us together contribute to the happiness of these children. Most children drop out of school because they don't get enough to eat resulting in fatigue and illness mostly because either they cannot afford it, or their parents are too busy. It's also a reason for them to not go to school. The “Akshaya Patra's mid-day meal program”, not only motivates students to go to school but also ensures that they remain healthy and happy and continue with their education, and achieve their goals and dreams with a newfound determination.

It might seem like ‘just one meal’ to us, and we might not care much about it. But someone out there does. To that someone, this one meal means care, gratitude and happiness. So why stay put when one has a chance to make someone happy?
