My name is Rishabh Goenka and I am a Grade 10B student at the International School of Hyderabad.


The world is filled with conflict; conflict based on our differences, be it caste, religion, race or even our beliefs. Often, as humans, we get caught up in our differences and overlook the fundamental issues that plague the rest of the world. One of these issues is child hunger, millions of children in India are starving everyday. Food is such a basic necessity that most of us could never even consider it a luxury, however, that is not the case for these children. We speak of them as though they are far off in some remote village, but the problem is closer than you think. They live all around you, at traffic stops, on streets and in the slums that we choose to ignore. This simply cannot go on any longer.

Akshaya Patra's mid-day meal initiative is one noble approach to tackling this issue. Akshaya Patra is single handedly feeding millions of children all over India. Only with the help of mindful citizen, like you, can enable Akshaya Patra to continue to combat hunger. By donating to my campaign you are allowing for children all around your country, your city, for that matter even your neighbourhood to be fed.
