My name is Amritha Ravishankar. I am 16 years old and a Grade 11 student at Sishya, Adyar, Chennai.
This campaign of mine aims to literally save the lives of children who come from low-income homes and are suffering from CHD (Congenital Heart Disease). The families cannot afford the surgery for their children as it's too expensive for them. I was surprised to learn that heart surgeries which typically cost between INR 2.5 to 5L at most hospitals are done at a much much lower cost by the NGO - Hearts for Hearts (Chennai based).
Net of govt subsidies and other funders they need just INR 40000 to perform heart surgery on a child with CHD. That is all it takes to save a life and bring cheer to both the child and the family. The cost also includes the cost of their stay before and after the surgery.
I kindly request you join and support me in this endeavor so that together, we can make a difference and save the lives of these children. It helps that this campaign also has 80G tax benefits. The more you fund the more lives we can save together.
