My name is Suvitti Khurana and I am a Grade 10 student at The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, Gurgaon.

All of us attend school,study for long hours and despite having break and lunch we often ask our teachers if we can get a five minute break to eat because we are tired and hungry. We're lucky that we have break and lunch and besides having break and lunch we sometimes even get small five minute breaks during the day to eat. Even the thought of attending an entire day of school without eating anything leaves us scared as we need food to remain mentally and physically fit.

Unfortunately there are many children,all over India who aren't lucky when it comes to receiving three or more well cooked meals every single day. Receiving even a single meal in a day truly makes their day. With your help we can truly make these children happy and ensure that they get their meals. To us it might just seem like one meal but to them it means a lot.

Children look forward to school when they know they are going to be provided with meals.It makes them immensely happy and helps them to study without being famished.The “Akshaya Patra's mid-day meal program”, not only motivates students to go to school but also ensures that they remain healthy and continue with their education.
