This leads to fatigue, preterm birth, low birth weight, and developmental issues in children. There is a significant impact on both the mother and the baby. This problem is much higher in rural areas where these women do not have access to supplements and health checkups.
There is an urgent need to ensure pregnant mothers have access to good nutrition and supplements.
THE SOLUTION
PROVIDING NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS TO PREGNANT WOMEN.
The Shakthi Program, is a flagship program of Vaishnavi Welfare and Charitable Trust, an NGO based in Chennai. This is a dedicated initiative focuses on improving the health of pregnant women, particularly in rural areas across Salem, Kallakurichi and Nilgiris. The program works to prevent anaemia and malnutrition during pregnancy to produce healthy mothers delivering healthy babies.
Using the Sanjeevi Magaperu Thittam protocol, the Shakthi program blends traditional and modern care.
The supplements used are
- Madhulai Manapagu
- Annabedhi Chenduram
- Nellikai Legiyam
- Herbal oils
These supplements will be given during 8-24 weeks of pregnancy. Women after 24 weeks receive no supplementation as per protocol.

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to Vaishnavi Welfare and Charitable Trust. It will take from 30 to 90 days after that to get details of who the beneficiary was with details of them. Once I get this information from the team at Vaishnavi Welfare and Charitable Trust. I shall upload this in the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
