THE BACKGROUND:
In India, approximately 2,40,000 children are born with CHD each year, and 20% of them have serious defects requiring intervention in the very first year of life. Unfortunately, due to their families' limited financial resources, many of these children are unable to access the necessary surgeries to treat their conditions.
THE PROBLEM:
Congenital heart defects (CHDs) are ailments that affect children at birth and at a young age. In Punjab, nearly 5000 children per year are born with cardiac diseases.
THE INITIATIVE:
Together for Tiny Hearts is a comprehensive initiative led by concerned students from Punjab in partnership with OT Transformative Foundation, aimed at addressing the pediatric heart health crisis in Ludhiana. The project adopts a structured, three-phase approach, focusing on screening, nutrition, diagnostics, and treatment to provide holistic care to children suffering from heart diseases.
This campaign aims to :
- Screen children for heart disorders (INR 5000 for 10 children)
- Support their heart surgeries (1.5L per child)
The children are screened and operated on at the SPA Hospitals in Ludhiana, Punjab. The initiative, Together for Tinry Hearts, enables life-saving heart surgeries and affordable screening at just INR 500 for children from low-income homes.

FAQs
Will we get to know the details of the child who benefited?
Yes. After the money has been collected, it will be transferred by Fueladream to OT Transformative Foundation. It will take 2-6 months after that to get details of who the beneficiary child was, with details of the parents, their picture, etc. Once I get this information from the team, I shall upload this to the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about the beneficiary.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes a week after the campaign is closed for the money to be transferred. The receipts will start getting processed about 2 to 3 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
