Across rural India, children are being left behind. Not due to lack of potential, but due to lack of access. In villages like Kheowali in Haryana, poor educational infrastructure, limited exposure, and intergenerational poverty create a cycle of disadvantage. When COVID-19 hit, this gap only widened.
In this context, the JIVAM Foundation was born as a movement for equal opportunity in rural India.
The result is a generation of bright, capable children being systematically left behind. Solving this requires an integrated, long-term, community-based approach for holistic empowerment.
THE SOLUTION
JIVAM Foundation was founded in September 2020 by Isha Godara, a finance graduate and management consultant who returned to her ancestral village during the pandemic. Disturbed by the sight of children cut off from learning, she began teaching a handful of them in her backyard. That spark soon ignited a movement. Today, JIVAM Foundation operates a full-fledged Learning and Leadership Centre in Kheowali village, Sirsa, Haryana.
Currently, 300 students between Grades 3-10 attend classes at the centre. Classes are conducted 6 days a week from 4:30 to 6 pm. These students attend government schools in the morning. Students are taught public speaking, STEM-based courses, computer classes etc. We have a full-fledged computer lab, which was sponsored by one of our donors.

ABOUT ME
My name is Tanirika Sancheti. I am 14-years-old and a Grade 8 student at Daly College, Indore.
I have undertaken this campaign because I think it is incredible to impact the life of a child. It is shocking to know that 30% of the children in rural Haryana drop out of school before Grade 10. This results in them joining work at such a young age. Some of them work as daily-wage earners while others work at farms, homes, and hotels. This leaves the family in a vicious cycle of poverty. The parents of these children are uneducated and do not know the importance of education.
The after-school classes conducted by JIVAM Foundation ensure that children get equipped with relevant skills for today's world. The cost of providing after-school programs to a child for a year is just INR 7000 and will completely transform their lives.

FAQs
Will we get to know the details of how the money was spent?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to JIVAM Foundation. It will take from 60 to 120 days after that to get details of who the beneficiary was with details of them. Once I get this information from them I shall upload details of the beneficiaries on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
