THE BACKDROP:
Bengaluru hosted its first-ever Let There Be Guitar! festival in April 2025, celebrating Guitar Month with a powerhouse line-up of acclaimed artists. The event showcased the guitar’s versatility across genres, bringing together musicians and music lovers in a vibrant community experience.
Our inaugural edition showcased an extraordinary lineup, featuring Baiju Dharmajan, Bruce Lee Mani, Suraz Sun, Tony Das, Saheel, and Niveditha Ode Linda, accompanied by a stellar backing band comprising Anand Murali on keys, Jaime Dudley on drums, Joshua Ashish on rhythm guitar, and Osi Gomango on bass. The festival also featured special guest performances by vocalists Girish Pradhan and Alan Thomas, along with child prodigy Sanidhya Das on drums.
With its thriving music culture and perfect April atmosphere, the city proved to be an ideal home for this celebration. The festival is a collaboration between Gigital India, seasoned artist manager Philip Thomas, and acclaimed guitarist Niveditha Ode Linda, all united by a shared vision for authentic music experiences.

The 2026 edition of Let There Be Guitar! aims to go bigger and bolder by inviting top guitarists from beyond Bengaluru to perform with their full bands, building on the success of its debut while meeting rising production costs through this crowdfunding campaign.

April made the festival even more special because it’s celebrated worldwide as Guitar Month. The tradition began in the early 2000s, launched by the Guitar and Accessories Marketing Association in the US. It was created to honor the guitar’s cultural impact, and the festival carried that spirit forward beautifully.
