THE SOLUTION
To solve this problem, a Chennai-based NGO, Danirasa Foundation, has been serving nutritious and wholesome meals to children from low-income homes and to the elderly residing in old age homes in Chennai since 2017. The meals are cooked at the Danirasa Kitchen in Thiruninravur (30 km from Anna Nagar, Chennai). The mission is to provide nutritious meals to underserved communities.
The kitchen is a 5,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with modern machinery. It is entirely operated by women, offering them a stable source of income and fostering self-sufficiency. The kitchen currently prepares 11000 meals daily and has a capacity to prepare 30000 meals daily, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The food is fresh and cooked in a clean environment. The menu is planned keeping in mind the balanced diet requirements.

ABOUT ME
My name is Evangeline Jessica. I am 14 years-old and a Grade 10 student at the CPS Global School, Anna Nagar, Chennai
I have undertaken this campaign to fight hunger and to provide nutritional meals to underprivileged children and the elderly.
Many children and elderly lack access to regular and healthy meals. This makes them prone to illnesses and malnutrition. There is an urgent need to provide them with meals every day and ensure they lead better lives. The NGO Danirasa aims to solve this problem through providing them will meals.
It costs just INR 20 for a meal including the cost of delivery. The meals are prepared at the hygienic Danirasa kitchen located at Thiruninravur (30 km from Anna Nagar). The kitchen has a capacity to prepare 30000 meals per day. Each meal costs just INR 20. If you fund INR 3000, you will help serve 150 meals.

ABOUT DANIRASA FOUNDATION
Danirasa Foundation, based in Chennai, has been dedicated to women's empowerment for over a decade. In 2017, they launched The Danirasa Kitchen in Thiruninravur with the dual mission of providing nutritious meals to underserved communities and creating sustainable employment opportunities for women.
Starting from a modest 400 sq. ft. space, the kitchen has expanded to a 5,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with modern machinery. It is entirely operated by women, offering them a stable source of income and fostering self-sufficiency. The kitchen now prepares breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner—serving approximately 5,000 beneficiaries, including children, the elderly, and the homeless
Danirasa Foundation has also contributed to building a state-of-the-art kitchen to serve the poor in Chennai. Their efforts have been particularly impactful during crises; for instance, during the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters like Cyclone Michaung, the kitchen staff and volunteers prepared and distributed thousands of meals to affected communities

Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as The Danirasa Foundation is a registered NGO & you can avail of benefits under section 80G of IT act.
FEEDBACK THAT YOU GET
To ensure that there is complete transparency a report will be uploaded by the NGO. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of the campaign. The platform will send an EMAIL alert to all the funders as soon as it is posted - i.e. to you.

FAQs
Will we get to know the details of how the money was spent?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to Danirasa Foundation. We will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes up to 2-3 weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to the NGO. The receipts will start getting processed about 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
