THE BACKGROUND:
Our dear colleague, Nitin Tripathi, a 44-year-old, has been bravely fighting cancer since 2017. He was diagnosed with Recurrent Squamous Cell Carcinoma and has undergone multiple treatments over the years. Currently, he is going through a critical phase and needs our support more than ever.
Nitin has been a valued member of our Tech Data family for over 15 years. A dedicated professional, a supportive teammate, and a genuinely kind-hearted person, Nitin has touched the lives of many of us with his positivity and resilience. His unwavering commitment to his work and the people around him has made him an integral part of our community.
Nitin's family includes his wife, a homemaker, and their two kids, who are in 10th and 5th grade. The family is entirely dependent on him, making his health and recovery crucial for their well-being.
Nitin’s Battle with Metastatic Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma:
Since 2017, Nitin has been bravely fighting Recurrent Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of oral cancer. His diagnosis is classified as Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC), a cancer that originates from the squamous cells lining the moist surfaces of the mouth, throat, nasal passages, and voice box (larynx). This metastatic progression has made his fight even more challenging, requiring extensive and specialised treatment.
Despite undergoing multiple treatments and facing countless challenges, Nitin has shown incredible strength and determination. However, despite his best efforts, the cancer has unfortunately returned.

While his family and our organisation, Tech Data, have supported him at every step, the financial burden of this prolonged and intensive treatment is now overwhelming.
My colleagues and I are coming together to run this campaign and raise funds to help Nitin in his fight against cancer.
THE TREATMENT PLAN:
Currently, Nitin is receiving treatment at Cyte Care Hospital, Yelahanka, Bengaluru. His current course of treatment includes Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy, particularly with a special injection called Keytruda.
- Every 21 days, he needs to take one Keytruda injection.
- A total of 20 injections are required over 4 cycles.
- The treatment is expected to span approximately 54 weeks.
- Each session requires hospital admission for monitoring during the injection.
The total estimated cost for the treatment, including medicine and post-immunotherapy care, is approximately INR 48 L.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Till now, his family and the company have stood by him and supported him in every possible way. But given the high cost of this new treatment, it’s becoming difficult for his family to manage alone.
