THE PROBLEM :
Anganwadis are the backbone of rural child development in India, serving over 160 million women and children under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme. However, many of these centers are in a dire state. Across India, thousands of Anganwadis lack basic necessities such as clean drinking water, functioning toilets, quality educational materials, and safe infrastructure.
In Rajasthan’s Niwai district alone, numerous Anganwadis are deteriorating due to years of neglect. Cracked walls, leaking roofs, absence of toilets, insufficient nutrition, and lack of learning tools have significantly hindered the healthy development of rural children and mothers. These conditions result in undernourished children, limited early education, and a cycle of poverty and ill health that spans generations.
So, we, the students from Jayshree Periwal International School, Jaipur, have decided to take immediate action to address this crisis and ensure a brighter future for these children and their communities.
THE SOLUTION :
Students for Grassroots Education, a government-recognized student-led initiative by the students of Jayshree Periwal International School, Jaipur, has stepped forward to address this issue. Partnering with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the organization aims to revamp and revolutionize five Anganwadis in Niwai, Rajasthan, which are Chaturbhujpura, Ratanpura, Akodiya, and Bhadhangpura.
To renovate these five Anganwadis, there is an urgent need for INR 5.7 L.

Scroll down to see the current condition of the five Anganwadis.

The initiative aims to make a profound impact by providing essential support to young children and the broader community. By creating safe learning spaces and enhancing healthcare and nutrition services, the campaign will drive positive change in five villages across the Niwai district. By transforming five Anganwadis, the initiative sets a replicable model for the rest of India, ultimately improving the lives of thousands of individuals.
THE COST-BREAKUP:

The cost of renovating one Anganwadi is INR 1.15 L, and we require a total of INR 5.7 L to revitalize and revive these five Anganwadis.

ABOUT ME :

My name is AADYANT SINGH HARNWAL. I am a Grade 10 student at Jayshree Periwal International School, Jaipur. I'm part of Students for Grassroots Education, a government-recognized student-led initiative in partnership with the Government of India's Ministry of Women and Child Development. We work to improve the lives of children and mothers in rural India. I believe that every child, no matter where they are born, deserves a safe place to learn, play, and grow.
Many Anganwadis in Niwai, Rajasthan, are in terrible condition. They lack clean water, toilets, proper classrooms, and even basic nutrition for the kids. This has a direct impact on the health and future of these children and their communities.
That’s why I’ve taken up this cause to help transform five Anganwadi centers in Niwai, including one in Mahapura. Along with my peers, I’m raising funds to provide these centers with clean drinking water, safe and hygienic toilets, strong infrastructure, nutritious food, and engaging educational materials.
We aim to raise INR 5.7 L to fund the renovation of five Anganwadis, providing essential educational materials, nutritional support, technological upgrades, and more.
Let’s work together to build a better future for these children and rewrite the story of childhood for thousands across rural India.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations and ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation and you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
