India's recent Global Hunger Index ranking exposes a critical problem: a significant number of children suffer from malnutrition, with 36% under five facing stunted growth, 32.1% being underweight, and 11.9% of the population living below the poverty line, emphasizing the urgent need for a solution (Deccan Herald, 2023).
In the slums of Bangalore's urban areas, children confront the harsh realities of neglect, poverty, and hunger. Left to navigate these challenges on their own, they often resort to desperate measures such as stealing or searching through dustbins for sustenance. The harsh reality of hunger not only deprives them of essential nutrients but also poses a significant barrier to their ability to concentrate on their studies.
Now, a ray of hope shines through the No Hungry Child Shelter Home, providing refuge for these vulnerable children. Previously facing the challenges of hunger and limited access to education, they are now embraced by the warmth and support of the shelter home. Here, they not only receive nutritious meals but also find an environment conducive to physical and cognitive development, offering them the chance to break free from the cycle of hunger and poverty.

ABOUT NO HUNGRY CHILD :
No Hungry Child is a charity that provides free nutritious meals for underprivileged children in India. We have a vision to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry. We started with just 250 children in 2009 and now we are feeding more than 21,000 children. We do not receive any government grant and we rely on private fundraising and individual donor support. We have been recognized and registered by the Government of India.
TAX BENEFITS :
Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as No Hungry Child is a registered trust and you can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT Act. Foreign funding is not accepted.
FAQs
Will we get to know how the funds are being spent?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to No Hungry Child. It will take from 2 to 4 months after that to get details of fund use. Once I get this information from them I shall upload this on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about how the funds were used.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes up to 2 weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to the No Hungry Child. The receipts will start getting processed about 2 to 3 weeks AFTER that and will be sent to you directly.
