THE BACKGROUND:
Hey, fellow cinema enthusiasts,
I am Ankit Rathore, a budding writer/director with an inclination for challenging conventional storytelling norms. Six years ago, I graduated with a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering but my passion extends beyond filmmaking to poetry, songwriting, and crafting short stories. 'SATYA' is my latest endeavor, aimed at not just entertaining but also provoking thoughts about the reality that envelops us.
Our filmmaking adventure kicked off with small budgets, limited locations, and a tight-knit crew. But now, we're gearing up for something big – a short film named 'SATYA.' However, as the scale of production expands, so do the costs. We need certain essentials like equipment rentals and art design. That's where we need your support.
Every film begins with a daring idea. With a determined crew and an unwavering 'Never Give Up' spirit, we always find a solution. Our carefully crafted plan involves a 3-day shoot, covering 6 locations, with a dedicated crew of approximately 20 people, significantly reducing these risks.
THE INITIATIVE :
Each one of us has a magnanimous story running in our heads. We are the heroes of our narrative. But, so often do we forget to draw a line, that when our own story begins to torment us, we are caught unawares.
‘SATYA’ is about a man who fails to align the story in his head with the reality around him. It unfolds the tale of Brijmohan Pandey, a renowned historian plagued by nightmares. He desperately seeks solace from a psychiatrist, but the facts that come out might be too much for him to bear.
A wise man put it succinctly - “Truth is simple but not easy to accept.”
I believe in crafting narratives that not only entertain but also challenge perceptions. 'SATYA' is an opportunity to immerse audiences in a cinematic experience that sparks contemplation.

THE TIMELINE:
Once 'SATYA' wraps up, we plan to release both films by the close of June 2024. We're excited to share these stories, hoping they resonate far beyond the confines of the screen.
THE EXPENSES:
We carefully worked out the budget, considering locations, how long we'll be shooting, and the costumes needed. The main language is Hindi, but we'll include English subtitles for everyone to enjoy. The budget is well-organized, mainly because of the valuable 'in-kind' support we've received.

I am Ankit Rathore, and I am on an exciting journey. During my college days surrounded by brilliant minds, I found joy in crafting stories and even won Best Screenplay for my theatre play, 'Pistols At Dawn.' That win fueled my dream of creating full-length feature films that people could enjoy in theaters someday.
Now, 'Satya' is my next step toward that dream. It's like my dive into the neighborhood pool, a testing ground for my cinematic aspirations.
