For children from underprivileged homes, going to school is a luxury. Many families prefer to send their children to work rather than to school. Most of them are unaware of the importance of education in one's life. Even if children attend schools, they do not have any access to notebooks, stationary, school bags, etc. This results in them losing interest in studying and attending classes. Limited access to basic school necessities is a huge barrier between these students and their education.
There is an urgent need to support these underprivileged children with learning essentials so that they get access to study materials and are able to focus better in academics.
PROJECT SAAKSHAR
Under Project Saakshar, the children will get a School Kit that will cover their basic school supplies. The students are between the age groups of 5-15.
The school kit will consist of 1 school bag, 3 workbooks, 3 notebooks, a pencil box, and other stationery items like pencils, erasers, crayons, etc. Each child will also get a school shoe which will be sponsored by Liberty. These supplies will make it easier for the students to focus on their education and ensure that they are ready to excel in their academics.
The cost of each kit including distribution is INR 750.

My name is Haardik Gupta. I am 16 years old and in Grade 11 at The Doon School, Dehradun.
I have undertaken this campaign because I think it is incredible to impact the life of a child who is from a financially stressed home. For many of these parents, sending their child to school is a luxury. They are unable to buy notebooks, school bags, stationary etc for their children. They do not realise that these are critical in the educational journey of their children.
The cost of providing one learning kit is just INR 750. If you fund INR 4600, you impact 6 students. The kit will include a school bag, notebooks, shoes, stationary, etc. This will have a huge impact on their education and also lead to greater interest in academics. This will also boost attendance.

FAQs
Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to SHIKSHYALY. It will take from 2 to 3 months after that to get details of fund use. Once I get this information from them I shall upload this on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes up to 2-weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to SHIKSHYALY. The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
