Can you imagine living on the streets during the freezing and harsh winters? Shivering in the cold, knowing there is no respite?

One in every thousand are homeless in India. Imagine falling asleep in the cold, not knowing if you’re going to see the next day. Being homeless is very difficult. The harsh winters make it harder for them to survive. This year Delhi and surrounding areas have seen temperatures dropping to as low as 3 degrees making it inhumane for the homeless. They urgently need our help!

THE INITIATIVE

My friends and I have taken it upon ourselves to save the poor and homeless by distributing good-quality blankets. This will give them the much-needed relief and will keep them safe and warm during the winter season. The blankets will be distributed in areas around Delhi and Gurgaon. Each blanket costs just INR 220 incl. distribution.

This initiative is being done in partnership with the Delhi based NGO YATAN.

IT COSTS JUST INR 2200 TO PROVIDE BLANKETS TO 10 PEOPLE.

ALL FUNDING HAS 80G TAX BENEFITS.

ABOUT ME

My name is VIVANSH CHAWLA. I am 12 years old and in Grade 7 at TSRS Aravali.

It is really disheartening to see many homeless people living on the streets with no blankets or proper winter clothes to keep them warm during the winter while we stay comfortable and warm in our homes.

Through this crowdfunding campaign, I aim to distribute good-quality blankets to the homeless in Delhi, Gurgaon and surrounding areas. This will bring them the much-needed relief to survive the harsh winters. Each blanket costs INR 220. Just INR 2200 will help distribute 10 blankets.

ABOUT YATAN

YATAN is a non profit society registered under the societies registration act of 1850. Yatan which means ‘an effort’ was founded in 2015 by a group of academicians, teachers and youth with the aim of empowering children and women of economically weaker sections, through relevant education and vocational training using modern teaching concepts and technical assistance. YATAN has two branches : Gurgaon and Lucknow

Yatan believes that quality education is not only a fundamental right of every child but a medium that can empower the youth. Women empowerment will lead not only improve their livelihood but will play a major role in upliftment of the society. To achieve this, multiple projects have been outlined by the society.

TAX BENEFITS

Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as YATAN is a registered and you can avail of benefits under section 80G of IT act. Funding from those with foreign passports is not eligible.

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?

Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to YATAN. We will update you on the details of the distribution as soon as possible. We shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details.

When do we get the receipts?

The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
