THE PROBLEM
Orphaned and abandoned children living on streets and slums are most vulnerable and face challenges that hinder their lives progress. These children grow up on the margins of the society and are victims of all kinds of abuses - sexual, physical and emotional. Deprived of love, care, protection, and supervision of adults, these children work as child labourers and are exposed to other hazards thereby missing out on education and a joyous childhood.
The pandemic has further left over 15 lakh children orphaned in a span of 2 years. With the focus of the world being the virus, other important issues have been side-tracked, to the extent that these children do not have anyone to look after them. These children are not only going through tremendous emotional trauma. There is an urgent need to provide immediate support to help these children and to ensure their long-term needs are met till they become independent.
THE SOLUTION
World Vision is an NGO, with an aim to empower the most vulnerable children to overcome poverty and experience the fullness of life. The NGO is committed to supporting abandoned and orphaned children overall with accommodation, food, education, medical care and more.
World vision reaches out to children to help them when home no longer becomes an opportunity. They improve the well-being of children by helping them grow up in an environment where these children can thrive. This will help vulnerable children break free from poverty for good.
Your contribution can make sure these children are enrolled in schools, protected, aware of their rights, instilled with moral values, and are overall safe and protected.

ABOUT ME
My name is Arya Sunkara. I am a Grade 10 student at the Oakridge International School.
I have grown up in a household that has provided me with all my needs, but the contrast that formed between myself and other children of my age was very apparent. It is from that recognition that I wish to help those, who may not be as fortunate as myself. I hold the child rights movement very close to my heart, and I write stories on the same issue under #WeWantToDoTheTalking.
This campaign is a step in the right direction, empowering children and giving them the opportunities they deserve for a happier and more promising future. Give them something that they should have had. Just INR 10600 per year will transform the life of a child.
