THE BACKDROP

Hospitals and small clinics in India do not have adequate facilities to segregate biomedical wastes. Poor management or mishandling of medical wastes result in deadly consequences when exposed to healthcare workers, waste handlers and the community at large. It leads to infections, toxic effects and injuries. Harm to the environment is astronomical too. Apart from causing a spread of diseases and death, natural habitats and wildlife would be completely wiped out if the required steps of waste disposal are not taken.           

THE SOLUTION

My friends and I have taken it upon ourselves to help spread awareness and educate healthcare workers and the community about this issue by setting up segregation bins in different RWAs, clinics and government hospitals around NCR.Each set contains 3 segregation bins (black, red and yellow). We have also developed an app to educate people about biomedical waste management. We also aim to distribute these bins to schools to educate children on biomedical waste management.

A SET OF 3 BINS COST JUST INR 2300. 

Just INR 4600 will help provide 2 sets of bins.

Just INR 6900 will help provide 3 sets of bins.

Just INR 9200 will help provide 4 sets of bins.

Funds from this campaign will be utilized across NCR. This campaign is being done in partnership with the NGO - Aryaman Education Society. 

All funding has 80G benefits.

ABOUT ME & THIS CAMPAIGN

My name is DEVMAY DEWAN. I am 16 years old and in grade 11 at Pathways School Noida.

Through this crowdfunding initiative, my friends and I want to help clinics and small hospitals in the NCR region. These clinics do not have proper facilities to segregate biomedical wastes properly and efficiently.
We aim to help provide biomedical waste segregation bins. This will help keep healthcare workers, waste handlers and the community safe from infections, toxic effects, and injuries. I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can ensure safe disposal of wastes. The funds collected from this crowdfunding campaign would help make the world a better and a safer place.

ABOUT THE NGO

'Ayraman Educational Society' was founded with a vision that 'excellence always survives'. A sapling planted seventeen years ago has now grown into a shady haunt for young academicians, educators, social welfare reforms and giving back to society what we have in abundance. 

With the belief that the way to raise education standard is to encourage innovation in schools, Dewan Public school International, Meerut and Bulandshahr were established. These schools have their own ecosystems that help a child to bring his/her potential to its fullest. These are progressive schools which give Montessori curriculum experience to young ones and offers CBSE curriculum for 1-12.

'Ayraman Educational Society' also runs Cricket academy which helps locals to get training under experienced coach. It also has a shooting range which trains budding shooters. also works for the underprivileged through donation drives, visits to slums and working closely with under privilege people to provide food, clothes etc. During lockdown distribution of masks drive was also conducted.

To ensure that there is complete transparency I shall get create a report with the details of who benefitted from the funding. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of my campaign.
