The money raised will be given directly after the campaign ends to the B J Wadia Charitable Hospital - Mumbai. Once the money is given to the hospital they will use it to save the life of a poor child and share the details with me. I shall then send you an update about the child we have saved so that you know where your money has gone.
CASE STUDY : LITTLE ANUJ
ABOUT ME & THIS CAMPAIGN:
My name is Angira Kanwar. I study in Grade 10 at the Bombay Scottish School at Mahim, Mumbai. I believe that it is my duty to help children that come from economically weaker classes of society live a better life. I want to see children playing around with joy, and not on a hospital bed.
Like most of my classmates, academics and sports are my priorities. I love playing football because it gives me determination and strength to achieve my goals in life. One of my goals is to be able to help someone to live a better life.
We live in a world without peace. Hearing about the bombings in Syria and about Syrian refugees struggling to live without basic necessites like food and water, saddens me. I have an unlimited supply of what these people need desperately and I cannot provide it to them, and that disappoints me because they deserve to live a better life.
Until today afternoon, I thought that it was not in my power to help people in immense need. When we were told about the 'Little Hearts' campaign, I immediately knew that I had to take this opportunity to save a life. The fact that a heart surgery can be done at such a low cost is another reason why I decided to do this campaign. It would bring me warmth to see a child who has gone through such a traumatic experience, back on his feet and jumping around with happiness.
Pic : This is me . Let us bring a smile to little kids with heart ailments & save their life.

HOW YOU CAN HELP?
We are raising this money to cover the costs of the surgery for a child & the smallest contribution you make will help save their lives. The funds from this campaign will be transferred to B J Wadia hospital. Once the campaign ends, I will post an update to keep the funders (i.e YOU) abreast of which child received the surgery with details about the child, the parents and the medical procedure. If i reach my goal of INR 25000 , I shall continue this campaign so that i can collect more funds & save the lives of more children.
Funding to this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as the hospital is a registered trust & you can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT act. Foreign funding is also accepted.
FEEDBACK THAT YOU GET
To ensure that there is complete transparency I shall get a report from the hospital ( this takes between 1 to 2 months usually after the funds are raised & transferred to them) telling me who benefitted from the funding. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of my campaign and will be in a format like the one below. As soon as I post an update, the platform will send a SMS and EMAIL alert to all the funders - i.e to you. Click on the link on the email and you can read about which child benefitted. That's transparent right.
The below info is an example of the FEEDBACK FORMAT that we will be shared with all my funders.
Will we get to know details of the child who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to B J Wadia charitable hospital. It will take from 30-60 days after that to get details of who the beneficiary child was with details of her parents , her picture etc. Once I get this information from the team at B J Wadia hospital, I shall upload this on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiary.
What are the crowdfunding charges?
Fueladream charges 2% for the payment for the payment gateway and 10% as crowdfunding charges. With GST the total comes to 14.16%. Nett off all these fees - you still get to save the life of a child. There is also an initial fee of 3000 INR which is being waived for us.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes a week after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred. The receipts will start getting processed about 2 to 3 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly .
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s s concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an Idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream is a crowdfunding site and platform in India that allows for such a pooling of funds.
You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on a FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
