THE PROBLEM

Parli was one of the most backward & undeveloped tribal belts in Raigad district, Maharashtra. Before Shree Raj Educational Centre was established, there was a lack of basic infrastructure and facilities in the area, young children were made to work in neighbouring breweries. The situation of the girl children was worse, they had to take care of the entire household and their siblings, their education was neglected and were married off at a very young age. For those who lived in this area, good quality education was a distant dream. To change this, the Rural Education project was launched in the year 2009.

THE SOLUTION

Shree Raj Educational Centre is a one-of-its-kind rural school having amenities and standards at par with any other urban school. The key thought behind this institution is to endow these children with the best formal education to make them independent and confident individuals. 1079 children are enrolled in the school. The school supports the children by ensuring that all their educational expenses including uniforms, books, educational kits, meals as well as transport are being provided for.

All it takes is INR 1500 to impact a child for a month. This includes one meal a day, education, uniforms, stationery, transport, e-learning, computer training, sports, health-check-ups, etc.

THE KIND OF CHILDREN YOU CAN IMPACT

ABOUT ME

My name is Naman Saxena. I am 19 years old and a student at FLAME University, Pune.

I have undertaken this campaign because the gift of education is the most important gift a child can receive. The children that I would like to support are doing very well at school, despite adverse economic circumstances and conditions at home. The fact that raising INR 18000 can support a child’s education and all-round growth for an entire year is something that I am very excited about.

Getting a good education will definitely transform their lives and the lives of their families. Many of their parents cannot even read and write. These children will often be first-generation learners and will provide the opportunity to their families to break the vicious cycle of poverty. Please support my campaign and let us together bring light into the lives of these fellow students.

FAQs

Will we get to know the details of how the funds have been used?

Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to Srimad Rajchandra Aatma Tatva Research Centre. It will take from 60-90 days after that to get details of how the funds have been used. Once I get this info, I shall upload this on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiary.

When do I get the receipts?

It takes a week after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred. The receipts will start getting processed about 2 to 3 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.

How does crowdfunding work?

Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.

It’s s concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream is a crowdfunding site and platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on a FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.

Updates have been committed to after the campaign ends.
