THE PROBLEM
Education has been hit particularly hard by the pandemic. Children from economically underserved backgrounds can not attend schools due to the pandemic and most of them do not have the resources to access online learning. This is a threat to their education. The Hyderabad based NGO Nirmaan wants to fix this problem.
THE SOLUTION
Nirmaan has decided to empower these students by giving them ACER ONE 7 4G tablets. Along with the tablets, they will also be given high-quality earphones and a Jio connection for a minimum of 6 months. This kit will be a comprehensive solution to their learning woes.
Specifications of the ACER ONE 7 46 that retails at approx. INR 9300:
- 2MP primary camera and 0.3MP front-facing camera
- 17.78 centimetres (7-inch) HD LCD multi-touch capacitive touchscreen with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution
- Android v6.0 Marshmallow operating system with 1.5GHz Mediatek MT8321 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB and dual SIM dual-standby (3G+3G)
- 3450mAH lithium-polymer battery
- 1-year manufacturer warranty for device and 6 months manufacturer warranty for in-box accessories including batteries from the date of purchase
There is a requirement for about 5000 students in Government High Schools in and around Telangana, in the first phase, Nirmaan hopes to impact at least 250 students.
IT COSTS JUST INR 14500 (INCL. LAST MILE DISTRIBUTION) TO IMPACT ONE STUDENT. THIS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS ACROSS HYDERABAD.
HOW ARE THESE STUDENTS SELECTED?
The criteria for selection of the students:
- They study in a Government school.
- Come from an economically underprivileged background.
- They currently have no means to access online learning.
ABOUT ME
My name is Misha Mody. I am 13 years old and in Grade 8 at ISH.
Despite the way the world is developing, a lot of children are underprivileged and can't attend/afford school! To make matters worse, some students - in economically underserved areas in our country - that do have the privilege of receiving an education, haven't been able to attend school since India went into lockdown due to the pandemic. These students do not have access to a device or internet connection, making it hard to attend their classes.We should, as the privileged people of our society, bridge the digital divide to help these students. After all, every child deserves a good education and we mustn’t let this pandemic stop them from learning.
Just INR 14500 will truly transform the learning experience of these students. Help me fix this digital divide and make sure that no one is left behind as everything shifts online.

Nirmaan Organization is a not-for-profit started by a group of BITS Pilani students in 2005, it is based in Hyderabad. Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to NIRMAAN We will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
