Education has been hit particularly hard by the pandemic. Children from economically underserved backgrounds can not attend schools due to the pandemic and most of them do not have the resources to access online learning. This is a threat to their education. The Hyderabad based NGO Nirmaan wants to fix this problem.
Nirmaan has decided to empower these students by giving them ACER ONE 7 4G tablets. Along with the tablets, they will also be given high-quality earphones and a Jio connection for a minimum of 6 months. This kit will be a comprehensive solution to their learning woes.

There is a requirement for about 5000 students in Government High Schools in and around Telangana, in the first phase, Nirmaan hopes to impact at least 250 students.
The criteria for selection of the students:

We are a part of a privileged society where we take our gadgets and education for granted. In the economically underserved sections of society, students do not have access to smartphones nor internet connectivity, this makes it nearly impossible to be a part of the online classes that are being conducted. It is our duty, as the privileged sections of society, to bridge the digital divide and empower such students. We must not let the pandemic to threaten the education of such children who are often first-generation learners.
The fact that just INR 14500 will truly transform the learning experience of an underprivileged student, is amazing. Help me bridge this digital divide and ensure that no one is left behind as everything shifts online.
The initiative was flagged off by giving 5 devices to the Commissioner of School Education, Telangana.
Nirmaan Organization is a not-for-profit started by a group of BITS Pilani students in 2005, it is based in Hyderabad. We work in the sectors of Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Social Leadership (Volunteering) in 8 states of India, supporting Children, Youth Women and Farmers from underprivileged backgrounds. In the past 15 years of our journey, we have impacted the lives of 1+ million beneficiaries with the support of 220+ full-time employees and 750+ strong volunteer network, generating 12+ crores (p.a.) worth of Social Impact through 12 Flagship Programs and Social Leadership Initiatives while partnering with 35+ Corporate, Government and Philanthropic organizations.
Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as NIRMAAN is a registered NGO & you can avail of benefits under section 80G of IT act. Foreign funding is also accepted.
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to NIRMAAN We will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
