In order to turn their lives around, and move on a better path, the convicts of Jaipur Central Jail need training and skills. One of the fundamental objectives of training programmes is to ensure rehabilitation and re-entry into the society of people who are imprisoned. These initiatives have led to enhanced employability of prisoners leading to the inclusion of under-served segments of society, thereby acting as a catapult in upgrading the fortunes of people from being a mere burden to an earning member of the family.
In today’s digital era, fundamental knowledge of computer systems is considered basic literacy - skills essential for our lives and often imprudently taken for granted by us. We at computers for convicts want to provide IT and computer training to well over 30 convicts in the Jaipur Central Jail.
THE AIM IS TO PROVIDE 10 LAPTOPS TO JAIPUR CENTRAL JAIL. EACH LAPTOP COSTS JUST INR 25000 (INCL. DISTRIBUTION).

Hello! My name is DEVANSH KUMAR.
My teammates and I from C for C have realised that in order to turn their lives around and move on a better path, the convicts of Jaipur Central Jail need training and skills. We are a group of four students in 12th standard, who are passionate about computer science. We believe that the benefits of technological knowledge should not be limited to our classrooms and should be provided to everyone. With this program, we want to provide these benefits to the ones that have no hope and provide them with a second chance.
By providing them with laptops we're ensuring they have the means to pick up a new skill, and become productive & contributing citizens when they re-enter society. Join my mission to lift up the often neglected group of individuals, and let us help their path to change.

To ensure that there is complete transparency I upload a report from NGO (this takes between 2 to 4 months usually after the funds are raised & transferred) telling me who benefitted from the funding. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of my campaign. As soon as I post an update, the platform will send an EMAIL alert to all the funders - i.e. to you. Click on the link on the email and you can read about who benefitted. That's transparent right.
