Akshaya Patra has been aiding the Government’s efforts by providing food relief to vulnerable communities, such as migrant labourers and homeless people. The Foundation is doing this through its network of kitchens and delivery vehicles, working closely with the Government of India, State Governments and other civic administrations across the country. But we still have a long way to go if we are to ensure that every vulnerable community gets the help they need to survive this crisis.
Funds from this campaign will be utilized across Telangana.
The meals are cooked in Akshaya Patra kitchens and the last mile distribution is done by the local authorities- govt and civic body teams. The cost per meal is just INR 25. So if you fund INR 2500 you fund 100 meals. The meals are typically rice and dalma ( dal and vegetables) or Veg khichdi. They also provide a bottle of water with each meal.

My name is Sanya Sharma I am 16 years old and in Grade 11 . i am a student at Chirec international school. I love music , poetry and nature . Recently I've come across many sources which talk about the difficulties faced by underprivileged people during the pandemic on social media and now that i have been given the chance to help them and make change i would love to do so and this is why i am interested in this opportunity given to me
The recent COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone in different ways , It has caused many changes in our lives . It has affected almost every country in the world .These are very difficult times not only for us but also for the lesser privileged. Many people are losing jobs and the unemployment rates are increasing rapidly. The daily wage earners , migrant labor and financially poor and even the beggars on the streets are in very bad condition. We can't be sure of how long this pandemic will last and even after this , the people who have lost their job will suffer as they will have to look for other jobs .
The conditions of these people are so bad that rather than fearing thew virus , they fear starvation. As we are the privileged ones , it makes it our duty help these people through such difficult times and I Sanya Sharma am looking forward to work with this organizations to help the lesser privileged in any away I can. After the session we had in our school , in which you had informed me about this organization and what it does , and i am definitely interested and looking forward to work with you .

ABOUT AKSHAYA PATRA
The Akshaya Patra Foundation is headquartered in Bengaluru. The organization strives to eliminate classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in government schools and government-aided schools. Alongside, Akshaya Patra also aims at countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children.
Since 2000, Akshaya Patra has been concerting all its efforts towards providing fresh and nutritious meals to children on every single school day. And are continuously leveraging technology to multiply our reach. The state-of-the-art kitchens have become a subject of study and have attracted curious visitors from around the world.
Today, Akshaya Patra is the world’s largest (not-for-profit run) Mid-Day Meal Programme serving wholesome food every school day to over 1.8 million children from 19,039 schools across 12 states & 2 Union territories of India.

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to AKSHAYA PATRA. We will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
