Akshaya Patra has been aiding the Government’s efforts by providing food relief to vulnerable communities, such as migrant labourers and homeless people. The Foundation is doing this through its network of kitchens and delivery vehicles, working closely with the Government of India, State Governments and other civic administrations across the country. But we still have a long way to go if we are to ensure that every vulnerable community gets the help they need to survive this crisis.
Funds from this campaign will be utilized across Telangana.
The meals are cooked in Akshaya Patra kitchens and the last mile distribution is done by the local authorities- govt and civic body teams. The cost per meal is just INR 25. So if you fund INR 2500 you fund 100 meals. The meals are typically rice and dalma ( dal and vegetables) or Veg khichdi. They also provide a bottle of water with each meal.

My name is Shivani Tripurani. I am 15 years old and I attend Chirec International School in Hyderabad. I love to express myself through music and poetry, and my hobbies include playing the piano.
Until a few months ago, I never bothered to educate myself on what is happening just miles from my house. Starvation. Hunger. Malnourishment. People are forced to go days without a single meal. And due to the pandemic that has struck, families are unable to support their loved ones. Our world is already fighting against a pandemic, but now we face the risk of a global hunger crisis.
Akshaya Patra is an organisation which is feeding thousands across the country. Their success should not only be encouragement, but validation that the generosity in our country is limitless. Keeping this in mind, I urge everyone to support my campaign so that we can help combat hunger in our nation. This foundation is preparing healthy meals for the poor, ensuring they are receiving a minimum of one meal per day. It is our responsibility to help the underprivileged in any way possible.
It is tragic that millions have to go hungry for days, impacting their health and lifestyle.
But as long as we can use the platforms that we have to create awareness and encourage everyone to use their skills to make a change, completely eradicating hunger doesn't have to be such a far-fetched dream.

ABOUT AKSHAYA PATRA
The Akshaya Patra Foundation is headquartered in Bengaluru. The organization strives to eliminate classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in government schools and government-aided schools. Alongside, Akshaya Patra also aims at countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children.
Since 2000, Akshaya Patra has been concerting all its efforts towards providing fresh and nutritious meals to children on every single school day. And are continuously leveraging technology to multiply our reach. The state-of-the-art kitchens have become a subject of study and have attracted curious visitors from around the world.
Today, Akshaya Patra is the world’s largest (not-for-profit run) Mid-Day Meal Programme serving wholesome food every school day to over 1.8 million children from 19,039 schools across 12 states & 2 Union territories of India.

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to AKSHAYA PATRA. We will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
