We are 3 students from Grade 10 at the Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai. The lockdown may have been lifted, but the threat of the Novel Coronavirus is far from over. While we live in the safety and security of our homes and offices, our Doctors and medical workers are tirelessly working to help care for those, suffering from the virus and are relentlessly fighting against this pandemic every day. However, there is now a greater threat to them, as the ever-rising demand for PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) kits is not being met. It is imperative that our Doctors and other medical staff receive these kits, without which, they are even more susceptible to the disease.
ON THE FRONT LINES WITH NO PROTECTIVE GEAR: Doctors, Nurses & healthcare workers need our help.
The lack of proper masks, gowns, and eye gear makes it a very high risk for medical workers during COVID-19 times. Let's help them with PPE (Personal Protective gear in their fight against coronavirus)
There is a sense of alarm among healthcare professionals across India. In order for health care workers to do their job, they need to be protected against the virus themselves, for which they need Personal Protection Kits. A PPE kit includes gloves, gowns, shoe covers, head covers, masks, eye protection, face shields, and goggles. There is a growing demand for it, but not an adequate supply of these kits - which is leading to a severe shortage. Healthcare workers are resorting to using bin liners & helmets as substitutes.
Healthcare professionals are leading the fight against this pandemic in every possible way by leaving their families at home. It is critical that we as citizens should ensure the ones who are saving us are safe in the first place.
The funds raised will help healthcare workers at TATA MEMORIAL, NAIR HOSPITAL, GOKULDAS TEJPAL HOSPITAL, CAMA AND ALBLESS HOSPITAL, DR. R N COOPER MUNICIPAL GENERAL HOSPITAL, ST. We are Krrish Goel, Yazad Pooniwalla and Azann Qureshi. We are in Grade 10 at the Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us in different ways. However, there's a large group of healthcare professionals in this country fighting day in and day out to help all of us overcome these difficult times. They are leading the fight against this pandemic in every possible way by leaving their family at home. So it is critical that we as citizens, should ensure the ones who are saving us are safe in the first place.

ABOUT THE NGO
The Helping Hands Foundation is a non-profit organization, which works with children who are diagnosed with cancer. We work on two projects – the Accommodation Project and the Survivor Project. The Accommodation Project provides free accommodation to the child and the family during treatment in Dharamshalas surrounding the hospital and the Survivor Project works towards regular testing and rehabilitation of children who beat cancer. The Helping Hands Foundation is a fundraising entity and works in conjunction with Tata Memorial Hospital’s ImPaCCT Foundation.
The Helping Hands Foundation has facilitated more than 50,000 masks, 6000 plus PPE kits and over 100,000 units of food items and is providing to shelter to over 200 families at 3 shelter homes. There is more work in progress. The Helping Hands Foundation has successfully facilitated 2 pieces of equipment and the test kits for Tata Memorial Hospital to test patients for COVID 19. This will help them achieve 5x more tests per day.

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to HELPING HANDS INDIA. It will take from 7-10 days after that to start getting details of fund use. Once I get this information from them I shall upload this on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
