What started as a yearning to gain practical learning, Axlr8r Formula Racing is bridging the gap between academia and industry. We are a team of 30 young innovators from one of the best engineering colleges and an institute of eminence, IIT Delhi. Our institution has recently bagged 47th worldwide QS ranking in the technology section. Inherited with racing blood and united by passion, our team is constantly working day and night to raise the benchmark of Indian Electric mobility. We target the world's biggest university-level design challenge, Formula Student Germany. The competition is from 17th - 23rd August 2020. With crowdfunding support and backed by sponsors and well-wishers, we created History in Formula Student Germany 2019 by becoming the first and only electric team from India to clear technical inspections and ran our car on the German F1 track. Although the requirement is only INR 5L, any funds raised beyond it will be used to improve the quality of the materials used.
VEHICLE SPECS
1. With more than 350Nm of Torque on wheels, the vehicle is able to accelerate from 0-100 Kmph in 3 secs.
2. With an impact attenuator and rollover protection, the driver can come out with no/minor injuries even after a head-on collision at 60kmph.
3. Our self-designed accumulator pack is UL94-V0 rated, i.e. even if the cells inside explode, the fire will not propagate outside the accumulator keeping driver and bystanders safe.
4. The vehicle has a 9 node CAN communicated self-developed BMS system to monitor the state of each cell in the accumulator and shut down the whole vehicle in case of emergency. OUR TEAM
