I am running a crowdfunding campaign, along with 4 other friends, to raise awareness and funds to build a house for a family of five in Fort Kochi, Kerala. They currently live in a dilapidated house in Santhom Colony, Thoppumpady. When it rains, the canal behind their house overflows and the water gets into their house. This is being done for the project named "The House Challenge" with Sr. Lizzy Chakkalakal at its helm.

My name is KAVYA ANNA KODIANTHARA.
We're a group of friends that believe that to change the world, we must start with changing one person's world. For a while, we've been searching for a legitimate and meaningful cause that is in dire need for public attention. As we had hoped for, a friend of ours came in contact with Sister Lizzy Chakalal who holds a reputation for constructing 100 houses for families in desperate living situations. Sister Lizzy prioritises the reconstruction of spaces that house senior citizens, invalid individuals or widows with children.
For immediate attention, we have been introduced to Balan and his wife who are living in a space that is detrimental to their health, safety and well-being. They are two individuals who are very old and are in need of a house with proper ventilation and protection from the canal when it floods during monsoon season. At present, most of their dwelling is held up by tarpaulin sheets and during the monsoons, they are under the threat of flooding and the infestation of from the rising of the canal that is situated just behind their space. Sister Lizzy follows a strict scheme of house reconstruction which costs a fixed amount of ₹3 lakhs, which guarantees good quality materials and reliable construction. The 100 houses she has built so far, follow this plan.
Our objective is to raise this amount through this campaign and rebuild Balan's dwelling into a house that is certified in its quality and safety.
Help us impact the life of one family, and if we raise more, we intend to help the family living right next to Balan's who goes through hardship themselves.

When do I get the receipts?
It takes up to 2 weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to NGO. The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
