WE NEED YOUR HELP TO IMPROVE THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF A SCHOOL. READ OUR STORY AND FUND GENEROUSLY

We, 4 students and friends from Grade 8 at the Vidyashilp Academy, have taken up a project to improve the infrastructure of a school in Bangalore. This is also part of WFUNA's (World Federation of United Nations Association) Mission Possible program. The school is called Namoorna Kriya Sarkaari Prathamika School located at Hennur, Bangalore.

JUST INR 3800 WILL IMPACT A STUDENT'S LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

Following are the changes we want to make at this Government school:

  • Providing a sustainable solution for the electricity problem by installing solar panels. Currently, children don't have fans and lights in classrooms and the school can't run the motor to pump water due to electricity shortage or the high cost of electricity.
  • Installing LED tubes and ceiling fans in every classroom.
  • Providing water-saving tap fixtures that will reduce water wastage.
  • Providing basic benches and chairs for children to sit on during classes.

To make our dream a reality, we need your help. Every rupee contributed to this project will help improve the learning experience of every student who goes there.

ABOUT ME

Hello! I am SRUJANA JAYASIMHA. I am a student of class 8 studying at Vidyashilp Academy. My teammates and I were motivated to work on the WFUNA project as it involves working on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), they highly indispensable for the future. The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations (UNAs) and their thousands of constituents. We are working on basic needs that include basic furniture and electricity. The objective is to enhance the facilities in the school so that the children, who belong to mostly families below the poverty line, are motivated to come to school. We plan to raise funds for this objective and hence request you to contribute generously as your contribution is directly linked to the future of the 100 kids attending this school and their families as well.

COST SHEET FOR THE PROJECT

Through this crowdfunding campaign, we aim to raise INR 3L. If we raise more than we can cover the total cost (INR 3.8L) of improving the infrastructure at the school.

The school has 100 students. Just INR 3800 will impact a student and improve their learning experiences.

SOLAR PANEL FOR THE SCHOOL

OFF Grid Solar Power Plant Roof Top System (Offgrid System) - In this system, you install the solar power plant on your roof, produce electricity in the day time and directly convert them into power. In this system, you can use solar power when produced and in the night you can utilize the stored power from the battery.

How does crowdfunding work?

Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.

It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.

Updates have been committed to after the campaign ends.
This is an open forum for all funders of this campaign.
Other registered users can send their comments/ queries directly to the campaign owner as a message.
