It is indeed terrible when you have to grow up without the care and love of your parents. This campaign is about giving such children hope, support, and a chance at rebuilding their lives. Located in the Beed district of Maharashtra is a wonderful institution called the Balgram orphanage that takes care of such children.
There are currently 137 orphans who live here (as of August 2026). They have lost their parents or have been abandoned by their family. These children need our support and love to grow into independent adults. They have very interesting dreams and ambitions, and your support for this campaign will help them realise that and give them a secure future.

THE BACKGROUND :
From the parched land of Beed, which finds its name in the hundred most backward districts of India, comes the heartwarming story of an activist. Santosh Garje, at the age of 18, single-handedly set up the Aai Foundation and an orphanage named 'Balgram' with the hope of providing shelter to destitute children. This is located in a small village called Georai, in the Beed district of Maharashtra.
Santosh Garje was the son of a cane cutter from the drought-prone region of Beed, notorious for farmer suicides. He lost his sister to domestic violence, leaving her infant daughter as an orphan in Santosh’s care. This not only changed Santosh’s life but also the lives of many children who would now address him as ‘Baba’. He quit his dream of becoming a school teacher and, at the young age of 18, began an institution called Sahara Anathalay Pariwar, later renamed Balgram, with the aim to provide a better future to those innocent children who had faced similar destinies as his niece. This is how the Balgram orphanage was born.

The home takes care of the food, shelter, education, medical care, and clothing of all the children who live there.

Hi! I’m Adwita, a student, artist, professional swimmer, and someone who loves taking on new challenges and experiences. Art is a major part of my life, and I have completed my Elementary and Intermediate Art Examinations. I enjoy exploring different styles and mediums and expressing my ideas creatively.
Swimming is another important part of my journey. As a professional swimmer, I have participated in various competitions, including district-level swimming, where I secured 3rd place. I also enjoy playing chess and have won 3rd place in my Inter-House Chess Competition.
Along with my interests and achievements, I’m passionate about leadership and making a positive difference. For the 2026–27 school year, I have been selected as a Director of Women Empowerment for my school’s Interact Club, where I look forward to contributing to initiatives that create awareness, encourage participation, and support positive change.

FEEDBACK THAT YOU GET :
To ensure that there is complete transparency, I shall get a report from Balgram (this takes between 1 and 3 months, usually after the funds are raised & transferred to them) telling me who benefited from the funding. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of my campaign and will be in a format like the one below. As soon as I post an update, the platform will send an EMAIL alert to all the funders - i.e. to you. Click on the link in the email and you can read about which child benefited. That's transparent, right?

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to AAI FOUNDATION. They will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do we get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
