THE CONTEXT
Many children from low-income and underprivileged families struggle to access quality education. Even when they are able to attend school, the learning opportunities available to them are often limited. Subjects such as science, technology, and engineering are rarely taught in depth.
This is largely because many schools lack proper infrastructure, laboratories, and trained teachers. As a result, students miss out on important skills that could help shape their future careers. Over time, this widens the gap in educational opportunities between them and students from more privileged backgrounds.
THE INITIATIVE
Through this campaign, my friends and I aim to set up a state-of-the-art Robotics and Computer Lab for students at the Government Senior Secondary Smart School, PAU in Ludhiana. The school has 4,202 students from Grades 1 to 12, most of whom come from low-income families in and around Ludhiana.
This lab will give students the opportunity to learn robotics, electronics, coding, renewable energy, sensors, and hands-on project building. These skills will help prepare them for future careers and reduce the digital gap they face. The initiative is being done in partnership with Aryaman Foundation.
It costs INR 295000 to set up the robotics lab.
It works out to about INR 70 per student. The school has 4202 students who will be impacted.

My name is NANDINI GOYAL. I am 16-years-old and a Grade 12 student at Delhi Public School, Ludhiana.
Millions of underprivileged children in India do not have access to quality education. Because of this gap, many students miss the opportunity to learn important skills in areas like science, technology, and engineering.
I believe that setting up a robotics lab can help change this. It can introduce students to new ideas and open up many possibilities for their future. These skills will prepare them for future careers and help reduce the digital divide. The total cost to set up this lab is INR 2.78L.

GLIMPSES OF THE ROBOTICS LAB THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY SET UP
A robotics lab has been created to improve the learning process for 85 students enrolled at Vehra Dhiyaan Da in Ludhiana. The lab was inaugurated on December 20th, 2025.
Initially, the training involved PowerPoint presentation workshops and then progressed onto a project involving soil moisture. Based on the positive results that were achieved, we plan to take this endeavor further into other institutions in the city and the state of Punjab as well.
