THE BACKDROP:
After ten years of waiting for industry backing, we are taking TILARI directly to the people. Inspired by the true story of a farmer pushed to the brink, the film explores the thin line between survival and morality. We are bypassing traditional routes to ensure this narrative remains raw, honest, and free from commercial compromise.
This campaign will finally help us make this film happen with a community that values creative integrity. It’s a transition from "waiting for permission" to telling a story that needs to be felt, turning a decade of perseverance into a powerful cinematic reality.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MOVIE:
TILARI is a crime thriller set in rural Maharashtra, exploring the systemic pressures that push ordinary men toward impossible choices.
The film follows three individuals, a farmer, a father, and a grieving man, whose lives spiral as debt and desperation erode their options.
It shifts the focus from the crime itself to the crushing circumstances that make survival a higher priority than morality.
By avoiding judgment, the narrative asks how any of us would react if pushed to the absolute edge of our endurance.
Ultimately, it is a grounded exploration of the thin line between right and wrong, told with deep empathy and realism.

VISION:
The film is rooted in realism. It is designed to feel lived-in, not constructed.
Stories drawn from real environments and emotional truth
A strong, grounded emotional core
Visual storytelling that is cinematic but not stylized for effect
A focus on human behaviour under pressure and how people change
We are using real locations, natural light, and authentic textures of rural Maharashtra to keep the film honest. The idea is not to dramatize reality, but to observe it closely and let it unfold. TILARI is a story meant to be felt, not judged.
The overall budget of the film is INR 1.5 Cr. But we are aiming to raise INR 40L through this crowdfunding campaign to cover the costs of pre-production, cast, and crew, and the post-production.

Directed by the duo Shrishail Hiremath and Zarina Arsiwala, TILARI features a collaborative script written by Shrishail Hiremath, Zarina Arsiwala, and Chaitannya Dange, with the screenplay specifically helmed by Shrishail Hiremath. The technical team includes 1st Assistant Cinematographers Chaitannya Dange and Nishant Saha, who support the film’s grounded visual style. To ensure the highest level of authenticity and realism, the production will feature a carefully selected cast that blends promising emerging talent with seasoned theatre actors.
Help us bring TILARI to the big screens. We are raising INR 40 Lakhs for our dreams to become a reality.

Pre-production has already begun, and we need your support to keep it going. The shooting schedule for TILARI is dictated by a critical and non-negotiable window in May 2026. The film’s narrative integrity relies on the specific seasonal reality of rural Maharashtra—its parched landscapes, specific crop cycles, and raw, dry textures, which are impossible to authentically recreate or fake.
Missing this narrow window would force a nearly one-year delay to wait for the season to return. Such a postponement would not only compromise the film's visual honesty but also lead to significant cost escalations and a loss of creative momentum, making immediate funding essential to preserving the project's authenticity.
