I am Abhay Phadnis, a management consultant based in Chennai. I am writing to you to seek your support for the Chennai Photo Biennale 2019.

Today photography has exploded across our country with mobile phones and DSLR camera's being the norm. All of us use photography in everyday life to express ourself and share our images on social media. The Chennai Photo Biennale is a great way of linking up this explosion of photography with the ethos of the city of Chennai.

The Chennai Photo Biennale is a concept with exciting possibilities. Over the years, the event will recognise talent, create a positivity around photography as a career, add to the image of Chennai and its people, and will help contribute to broadening the scope of contemporary visual arts in various ways.

I am raising INR 50000 to help the initiative get to their overall goal of raising INR 300L and creating a world class spectacle. The CPB can have a huge impact on the citizens of Chennai and on people's attitudes to art and culture. Over a period of time it will definitely grow into a movement that will take on a life of its own. Please do contribute to this campaign and help in making a huge success.
