My name is Jayant Kumar Singh. I am 15 years old and in Grade 10 at St. John's High School, Chandigarh.

I started this campaign after learning that many students from low-income families do not have essential school supplies, such as shoes or a school bag, and sit on the hard ground.

Many kids in Himachal's rural schools sit on the ground for extended periods of time. As a result, 9 out of 10 students experience posture-related issues. It also has an indirect effect on their vision and capacity to focus and study.



The back-to-school kit costs INR 900 and includes a pair of recycled footwear, a study mat for sitting comfortably at school or home, a school bag for books, as well as a cotton mask. This is a very little sum of money to have an effect on a student.

Funding of INR 3600, for example, can change the lives of 4 pupils.
