My name is Yashveer and I am a grade 9 student at The Shri Ram School, Moulsari.

I have undertaken this campaign because I believe this is an initiative that honestly transforms the lives of women in rural India, especially in parts of Rajasthan where there is a tremendous amount of water scarcity. Carrying pots of water on their heads from the water bodies to their homes, every day, for a lifetime is an age-old practice in villages all across the nation. Women have to walk for long distances making the task that much more difficult. It is not only back-breaking but time-consuming. In rural places, women suffer from back-aches and feet related problems, this leads them to an early death or to the use of money on medicines, etc. This also cuts down the productive time the women could use to do things such as build houses. Not only is fetching this water a tedious process but due to the ergonomics of the water pots, it also leads to a wastage of water.

The Water Wheel solves this problem forever & gives them time, better health and less stress. Let us together help make their lives easier. The time saved is used for other chores and in a lot of cases leads to higher income as the time saved is put to good use by women to earn money. This impacts the household income and leads to a happier family.
