About:
My name is Samarth Jain and I am a grade 11th student at The Shri Ram School, Moulsari.
I have undertaken this campaign because I believe this is an initiative that honestly transforms the lives of women in rural India. Carrying pots of water on their heads, every day, for a lifetime is an age-old practice of carrying water from water bodies to their homes in villages all across the nation. Women have to travel long distances making the task that much more difficult.
I have worked with NGO's in the past and have helped teach uneducated children maths and drama. I am currently the Social Media Coordinator and the Head of Distribution of Project Saans, a non profit organisation which aims at helping rural India learn about the dangers of air pollution and how to tackle them. I also work in the Youth India Foundation, as an ambassador for my school,
